Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 June 2026

SscAce ("we", "us", "our") operates sscace.in. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices and rights you have. SscAce is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) or the Government of India.

1. Information We Collect

We currently collect minimal information:

  • Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter or sign up for updates, so we can send articles, exam news, and notification alerts.
  • Usage data — automatically collected information such as pages visited, time on page, browser type, and approximate location (city/region level), gathered via analytics tools described in Section 3.

We do not currently collect payment information. If we introduce paid resources in the future, this policy will be updated before that feature launches to describe what payment-related data is collected and how it is handled (typically via a third-party payment processor, who would hold card/payment details directly rather than us).

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To send newsletters, study tips, and exam notification alerts you've signed up for.
  • To understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve content and fix issues.
  • To respond if you contact us with a question or correction.
  • To comply with legal obligations where applicable.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services We Use

We rely on the following third-party services, which may process data on our behalf:

  • Firebase (Google) — for website hosting and infrastructure.
  • Google Analytics — to understand site traffic and usage patterns. This uses cookies and similar technologies; see our Cookie Policy for details.

These providers may process data outside India as part of their global infrastructure. We choose providers that maintain industry-standard security practices, but we encourage you to review Google's own privacy policies for details on how they handle data.

4. Cookies

We use cookies primarily through Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage. You can disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some site functionality but will not block your access to articles, resources, or news content.

5. Data Retention

We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default retention settings.

6. Your Rights

If you are located in India, you have rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, including the right to access, correct, and request erasure of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 9.

If you are located outside India, your local data protection law may grant you additional or different rights (for example, under GDPR if you are in the EU/EEA). We will make reasonable efforts to honor such requests; please contact us and we'll do our best to assist, though our processes are primarily built around Indian law at this stage.

7. International Visitors

SscAce is operated from and primarily intended for users in India. We do welcome visitors from other countries, but by using the site you understand your information may be processed in India and through service providers operating internationally (see Section 3).

8. Children's Privacy

Our content is intended for SSC CGL aspirants, typically graduates aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

9. Security & Contact

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, though no online service can guarantee absolute security. For privacy questions, data requests, or complaints, contact our Grievance Officer:

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our services evolve, particularly when we introduce paid resources or mock tests. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be communicated via the email you've provided, where applicable.
